Welcome to my site!

I am a collector of Dutch helmets used by the armed forces, govermental organisations and civilian organisations since 1916. "Beute" helmets brought to the Netherlands by the German occupior are also included in my collection and I'm also interested in Dutch helmets used by the Romanian Army during WW2 and in Dutch helmets used in occupied Europe within various organisations. I also have helmets that were brought to the Netherlands by Dutch soldiers during various missions. These helmets are not war trophies, but they were all bought from locals.

My goal is to document as much as possible and make it accessible to a wide audience as there is not much known about Dutch helmets. I spend much of my time collecting and documenting information. I publish this in the page Documentation and where possible I will also mention the source/author as most documentation does not come from my hand. To view this documentation, you will first  have to register.

I also document false helmets. Unfortunately, this happens on a large scale. By paying attention to this topic, I hope to raise awareness among collectors and provide them of the needed information to reduce the chance of a misstep. This information is only avalible to registered visitors.

Eventually, I will place information on my site concerning the models and background information from some helmets on my site. Also, I am doing my best to translate all the pages into English. This is a lot of work and will take some time!

The lay-out of my site.

The various Services and Organisations are listed as separate as chapters and not the different helmet models in general.

On the left menu-structure, the various organizations and listed and below, all models are shown. Please note, the list of the various models used, is far from complete.

It is my intention to place as much information as possible of the shown helmets. Each article has an email icon to respond if inaccuracies are published.
